Del Sol’s Ricana Taylor finished with 17 points and 15 rebounds Monday as the Sky League’s second-seeded Dragons (26-4) defeated the Mountain League’s third-seeded Clark Chargers (9-12) 62-50 in the first round of the Class 4A girls Southern Region basketball playoffs at Del Sol.
Sabrina Stewart added nine points and 16 assists for Del Sol, which plays at Losee in the quarterfinals at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
■ No. 1L Losee 69, No. 4D Cimarron-Memorial 17: At Losee, Jordynn Riggins nailed five 3-pointers and finished with 15 points as the Lions (22-5) notched a victory over the Spartans (16-7).
■ No. 1D Mojave 65, No. 4L Sunrise Mountain 20: At Mojave, the Rattlers (21-5) cruised past the Miners (16-10) for a first-round win. Mojave hosts Desert Oasis at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
■ No. 2M Desert Oasis 69, No. 3S Basic 30: At Desert Oasis, Alyssa Atkins-Dowd had 10 points and 11 steals to help the Diamondbacks (13-6) beat the Wolves (13-11). Teammate Jasmine Bermudez finished with 13 points and eight steals.
■ No. 1S Foothill 72, No. 4M Spring Valley 43: At Foothill, Stephanie Ezugha had 20 points in the Falcons’ win over the Grizzlies (16-11). Elia Glover added 10 points for Foothill (16-9), which hosts Mater East at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
■ No. 2L Mater East 65, No. 3D Palo Verde 28: At Mater East, Amija Macon logged 28 points as the Knights (18-5) rolled to a victory over the Panthers (9-14). Myla Faught added 17 points for Mater East.
■ No. 1M Sierra Vista 72, No. 4S Green Valley 14: At Sierra Vista, Donnayja Gibson scored 21 points, and the defense dominated in the Mountain Lions’ victory over Green Valley (9-17). Sierra Vista (21-5) hosts Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
■ No. 3L Las Vegas 62, No. 2D Arbor View 52: At Arbor View, Sariyah Johnson racked up 22 points and 23 rebounds to help the Wildcats (14-13) defeat Arbor View (12-14). Jordan Sequeira added 21 points, four steals and three blocks for Las Vegas.

■ No. 3M Sky Pointe 62, No. 2S Green Valley 56: At Green Valley, the Eagles (11-14) outlasted the Gators (12-14) for an overtime victory. Green Valley erased a nine-point, third-quarter deficit to make the game close.

4A state quarterfinals
■ No. 3S Green Valley 19, No. 1D Centennial 18: At Centennial, the Gators, the Sky League’s No. 3 seed, scored with a minute left and converted the point-after attempt to take the lead and knock off the Desert League champion Bulldogs (11-9) in a 4A flag football state quarterfinal.
Chevelle Jones had three catches for 64 yards and two touchdowns for Green Valley (16-10).
Green Valley next plays SLAM! Nevada (18-5) at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Russell Road Park in a state semifinal.
SLAM! Nevada, the Sky League’s No. 1 seed, defeated Las Vegas High 19-13 in another quarterfinal at Russell Road Park. Las Vegas, the Lake League’s No. 2 seed, finished 9-10.
■ No. 2S Cadence 12, No. 1L Virgin Valley 7: At Virgin Valley, Leyton Gasperosky completed 18 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown to lift the Cougars past the Bulldogs, the Lake League champion and reigning 3A state champions.
Elise Kemble had 12 catches for 101 yards for Cadence, and Patricia Monacelli intercepted three passes.
Cadence (15-6) next plays at Sierra Vista. Virgin Valley finishes 15-5.
■ No. 1M Sierra Vista 35, No. 2D Legacy 12: At Sierra Vista, Yauie Kahawaii-Pula had three catches for 93 yards with two touchdowns and a pick-six on defense to lead the Mountain Lions (17-3), the Mountain League champion, past Legacy (11-9), the Desert League’s No. 2 seed.
Jacqueline Bowles-Brooks recorded three sacks and four tackles for Sierra Vista.
