Navy Pier to hold its ‘largest’ July 4 fireworks display ever

Navy Pier will host its biggest display of fireworks ever this summer in a special Fourth of July show for the United State’s 250th birthday.

Viewers can expect to see “bigger, more extravagant” fireworks than the pier’s typical fireworks shows at 10 p.m. this July 4, said Molly Healy, a spokesperson for the Navy Pier.

The pier typically blasts off fireworks every Wednesday at 9 p.m. and Saturday at 10 p.m., from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

But this Fourth of July display will last longer and have almost two times as many fireworks compared to its usual shows, Healy said.

On its website, the pier said the 15-minute display will be its “largest and longest” ever.

This is the first time since 2019 that the pier’s Fourth of July display will be held on July 4, Healy said.
