Despite two home runs from Miguel Bleis, the Portland Sea Dogs lost 4-3 to the Hartford Yard Goats in an Eastern League game Friday night in Hartford, Connecticut.
Bleis led off the game with a fly ball over the fence in left center, then hit a line-drive homer to left in the fifth, giving the Sea Dogs a 3-1 lead.
Bleis also had a hand in Portland’s other run, as he and Ahbram Liendo executed a double steal in the third inning, with Liendo scoring from third.
Hartford, though, tied the game with two runs in the seventh against reliever Jeremy Wu-Yelland, after John Holobetz allowed only three hits through six innings. Andy Perez drove in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth off Reidis Sena.
