Matt Rhule speaks with media following loss at Oregon

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule met with the media this morning at the Hawks Championship Center following the team’s loss on the road at Oregon.

This marks the second-straight game the Huskers have led going into the fourth quarter lost in the final minutes.

“To be honest, Saturday is a game that we should have won,” Rhule said. “And I give credit to Oregon for finding a way to win the game. I believe, as we look at us as a football team, we’re a team that’s lost the last two weeks, and that’s unacceptable. And that’s not okay. I also think we’re a team that probably two plays away from being a top ten program. And of those can be true.”

Rhule also told the media Monday morning that the team will be without running back Isaiah Mozee for an undisclosed amount of time following his exit due to injury in Oregon. He is hopeful that Jamal Rule, who also left the game in Oregon, will be back in time for the team’s next game against Washington. Vincent Genatone is set to undergo season-ending surgery, while Anthony Jones was playing with a broken foot.

Nebraska enters its bye week. Their next contest will be a home game against Washington on Halloween. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
