Mass. weather: Dry, seasonably cool Sunday before potential showers on Monday

Sunday is expected to be a dry, seasonably cool day with some light breezes.

Temperatures will be in the low to mid-50s across most of the state, with temperatures only in the upper 40s in higher elevations, according to the National Weather Service.

Sunny skies and some light winds are expected across Massachusetts.

Occasional wind gusts of 20 mph to 25 mph are possible in the mid-afternoon.

Overnight temperatures will fall into the 30s to low 40s across most of the state. It could get as low as the upper 20s in areas of higher elevation.

More clouds are expected on Monday throughout the day, and by mid to late afternoon, there’s a chance of scattered showers.

It’ll be warmer on Monday than on Sunday, with temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s.

  • Hyannis: High 53, Low 43, Sunny
  • Pittsfield: High 49, Low 33, Sunny
  • Springfield: High 55, Low 35, Sunny
  • Worcester: High 53, Low 36, Sunny

Looking towards the week ahead, Tuesday could be drier but breezier, with winds reaching up to 35 mph across much of the state, with temperatures in the 50s.

More rain could be in store Wednesday night into Thursday, forecasters say.
