Man shot to death in Vancouver apartment-complex parking lot; suspects flee in red Lexus

A man was shot to death in an apartment building’s parking lot in Vancouver on Sunday morning, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies responded at 7:49 a.m. after multiple people called 911 to report hearing a series of gunshots in the 9400 block of NE 19th Avenue. The deputies arrived to find a man in the front seat of a car suffering from a fatal gunshot wound, the sheriff’s office said.

The victim has not been publicly identified.

Witnesses, after hearing the gunshots, saw two men wearing masks over their faces “going back and forth between the victim vehicle and a red Lexus,” and the Lexus then speeding away and entering Interstate 5 headed toward Portland, according to officials.

Police are looking for a dark red Lexus ES 350 sedan with a shattered rear window, read-end damage and a broken taillight. They ask anyone who spots the car to call 911 and not to approach it or any occupants of the car.
