A man was killed and a juvenile girl was injured during a shooting Friday night in Hope, authorities said Monday.
Around 10:45 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a shooting at a residence in the 1000 block of West 7th Street, a news release from the Hope Police Department said Monday. Officers found a man and a juvenile girl suffering from gunshot wounds, the release said.
The man, later identified as 21-year-old Gabriel Garcia of Paris, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene. The girl was taken to a local hospital for treatment, the release said.
No arrests had been made as of Tuesday morning.
The investigation is ongoing.
