Man Injured After Altercation Leads to Stabbing

Police say the two men involved in the altercation were known to each other. The person suspected of committing the stabbing was detained without incident.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – A man sustained serious injuries following a midday stabbing in downtown Fargo on January 31.

The Fargo Police Department says they received a report of that stabbing just after noon and responded to the scene in the 500 block of Broadway. Their investigation led them to learn that two individuals got into a physical altercation, during which one stabbed the other. The two were known to each other and no-one else is believed to be involved.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. The alleged stabber was located in a nearby business and detained. At this time, no arrests have been made, and no formal charges have been filed.

The incident remains under investigation.
