North Little Rock police on Tuesday arrested a man charged in the Sunday shooting death of a woman, a police news release states.
Officers found Damarcus Lewis, 19, of North Little Rock, around 6:45 p.m. near the 5500 block of MacArthur Drive, the same day authorities issued a warrant for his arrest in the killing of Jaybriann Turner, 19, the release states.
Police arrested Lewis without incident and located a firearm, which Lewis admitted was his, the release states. He faces charges of first-degree murder and carrying a weapon.
Turner died of her wounds on Sunday after officers found her shot in the 1900 block of Parker Street around 2:14 a.m., authorities said.
Lewis was being held in the Pulaski County jail on Wednesday morning, an online inmate roster showed.
