PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was arrested and two guns were seized after officials say a shooting in Southeast Portland parking lot led to a police chase Saturday night.

When they arrived, officers said they found two men, one of whom put his gun down and surrendered to police.

The other man drove away from the scene in his Jeep. Police say officers pursued the Jeep for a few blocks, then used a PIT maneuver to get it to stop.

The driver, identified as 28-year-old Lamariea Taylor, then jumped out of the Jeep and tried to run away, but was arrested soon after.

Police say early investigation found both of the men had been pointing guns at each other when the shots were fired. Both of the guns were seized as evidence.
