Police arrested a man after he shot at officers in Prince George’s County, according to county police.
In a post on X, the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) wrote that detectives were driving on the 8600 block of Fulton Avenue in Glenarden at around 8:15 p.m. when they saw a man near the street holding a firearm.
The man shot at the officers’ vehicle as they drove by but did not hit the car or injure any of the officers, who did not return fire.
Nearby units were able to quickly respond and take the man into custody as he was trying to board an occupied vehicle.
Officers confiscated a firearm from one of the vehicle’s passengers, who they believed to be associated with the suspect.
The incident is under active investigation by the PGPD.
