LYME — Voters approved, 99 to 69, a proposed school budget of $9.86 million at the annual school district meeting on Thursday evening.
The new budget represents a roughly $450,000 increase from last year’s budget.
Roughly 11%, or 168, of registered voters were present at Thursday’s meeting.
Voters also approved, 113 to 57, the expenditure of a $241,000 unused portion of a 2024 bond. The money from the bond would go toward replacing outdated unit ventilators in a wing of the Lyme School, upgrading the student bathrooms on the first and second floor, and renovating the science room in the same wing.
An article about setting school district officers’ salaries also passed with a voice vote.
