LSU track & field entered Day 2 of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field National Championship East First Round at the University of North Florida’s Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida.

Here’s all that happened on Thursday (the women’s pole vault and shot put were postponed to Friday.)

Women’s 100-meter

Sophomore Tima Godbless qualified for the quarterfinals after finishing first with a personal best time of 10.91. The time is also No. 4 in LSU history.

Sophomore Aniyah Bigam did not qualify for the quarterfinals after finishing 35th with a time of 11.45.

Women’s 200-meter

Sophomore Tima Godbless qualified for the quarterfinals with the fourth-best time, finishing with a 22.80.

Sophomore Aniyah Bigam qualified with the 10th-best time, 23.13.

Women’s 400-meter

Junior Ella Onojuvwevwo qualified for the quarterfinals after finishing with the third-best time of 51.25.

Women’s 800-meter

Senior Michaela Rose qualified for the quarterfinals after finishing with the second-best time of 2:01.75.

Women’s 400-meter hurdles

Garriel White had the 25th-best time, 58.43, and was one spot away from qualifying for the quarterfinals.

Women’s 10,000-meter

Freshman Edna Chepkemoi qualified for the NCAA Championships after finishing with a personal-best time of 33:11.87. 

Women’s Javelin

Sophomore Trinity Spooner qualified for the NCAA Championships after finishing 11th, throwing the javelin 51.03 meters.

Sophomore Alexis Guillory didn’t qualify after finishing 39th, throwing the javelin 41.90 meters.

Women’s Long Jump

Junior Machaeda Linton didn’t qualify after finishing 14th, jumping 6.10 meters.

Men’s Pole Vault

Senior Beau Domingue didn’t qualify for the NCAA Championships after finishing 32nd, vaulting 5.03m.

Women’s Pole Vault

Senior Johanna Duplantis qualified for the NCAA Championships after she finished in a seven-way tie for first place after vaulting 4.09 meters.
