The South’s Most Elusive Artist: Walter Inglis Anderson
WHERE: LSU Museum of Art in the Shaw Center for the Arts, 100 Lafayette St.
WHEN: Sept. 17-Jan. 3. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday; and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
ADMISSION: $5, age 13 and older; free for age 12 and younger, students with valid ID, educators with valid ID, and veterans and their families with military ID. Admission is free for everyone on the first Sunday of every month.

ALSO: The exhibit will open at 5 p.m. Sept. 17 with a free screening of of the documentary, “Walter Anderson: The Extraordinary Life and Art of the Islander,” in the Manship Theatre in the Shaw Center for the Arts. The film will be followed by a panel discussion with the documentary’s filmmaker Anthony Thaxton; Walter Anderson’s youngest son, John Anderson; and Maddie Codling, director of the Walter Anderson Museum of Art in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. A reception will follow in the museum on the fifth floor, featuring Anderson and Thaxton signing copies of the 2024 book, ‘The Bicycle Logs of Walter Anderson.’ For free tickets to the screening and panel, visit manshiptheatre.org.
