After reading the many accolades about former Saints quarterback Drew Brees, I noticed his most defining trait is his humility.

He has reached the pinnacle of success, not only in the game of football but in everything he does. But when reading his comments or viewing pictures of him in your excellent articles, I see humility.

He directed any comments made about him to others, to whom he gave credit for his success.

When he posed for photos, he could have been basking in his glory. Instead, he was directing others to step in and be included in the photo, always directing attention away from himself and onto someone else.

If he exhibited any sense of self-pride, it was in having his family around him, sharing the moment.
