League of Women Voters of Juneau to host Municipal Candidate Forum tonight

The annual League of Women Voters of Juneau Municipal Candidate Forum is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16 at the KTOO studios, bringing together candidates for the City and Borough of Juneau Assembly and Board of Education.

Juneau Empire is partnering on the event and will carry a live video feed of the forum at juneauempire.com, allowing residents to follow the discussion online.

Eleven certified candidates are seeking five seats in this year’s municipal election: three on the Assembly and two on the school board. Ballots begin going out to registered Juneau voters Sept. 18, two days after the forum.

School board voters will choose two candidates from a field of three.
