LaMoure A’s Go 0-2 at Babe Ruth State Tournament | News Dakota

Watford City, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The LaMoure A’s saw their season come to a close at the Class B Babe Ruth State Tournament.
In game 1 they struggled to get their bats going against the Grafton Gremlins until late as they quickly went down early. Grafton would end up taking a 16-5 lead after an attempted 5th inning comeback that saw Oliver Lesko hit a towering homerun to left field.
In Game 2 Easton Thielges pitched an absolute gem of a game but after an initial offensive burst in the first inning that saw them take a 1-0 lead they would be unable to get anything else going against Velva as the game would quickly turn into a pitchers dual. Velva would eventually comeback in the bottom of the 6th inning and score 5 runs to take the 5-1 lead. LaMoure would be unable to comeback after that and fall by that same 5-1 score.
The LaMoure A’s season comes to a close with both loses. Next up for LaMoure baseball is the Class B Legion State Tournament beignning on Friday July 31st in LaMoure as Post 19 will take on Grafton Post 41 at 10:30 am. You will be able to hear all LaMoure, Edgeley, and Lisbon games on KDDR The Tornado.
