JRMC CNO Jungels Named to Top 25 Women in Business

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (JRMC) – Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Trisha Jungels has been one of Prairie Business magazine’s Top 25 Women in Business. Her selection reflects her exceptional leadership and commitment to innovation, patient care and a positive clinical environment.

Each year, Prairie Business magazine recognizes businesswomen across the Dakotas and Minnesota who stand out in their communities for professional achievement, community contribution and volunteerism. Recipients are selected through a competitive nominations process. JRMC celebrates Jungels’ inclusion among this year’s honorees.

As vice president and CNO, Jungels oversees a wide range of clinical services and plays a key role in shaping JRMC’s clinical strategy and culture. Under her leadership, JRMC’s clinical teams have received multiple national recognitions, including several Women’s Choice Awards for emergency care and obstetrics, the Pathway to Excellence designation and Blue Distinction designations for joint procedures and maternity care.

In Jungels’ time as CNO, the medical center has expanded specialized service lines, most recently adding pain management services. Additionally, Jungels was instrumental in developing the Nursing Clinical Excellence Ladder, creating meaningful pathways for professional growth, retention and leadership development among nursing staff.

She has been recognized as one of Becker’s CNOs to Know twice. In 2022, the University of Jamestown awarded Jungels the prestigious Nursing Excellence Award, and in 2024 she received a DAISY Award for her exceptional leadership.

“Beyond titles and accolades, Trisha is widely respected as a supportive and values-driven leader,” said the individual who nominated Jungels. “She leads with both strength and kindness, consistently challenging her teams to grow while fostering an environment where collaboration, accountability and innovation thrive.”

Jungels’ recognition highlights the strength of leadership at JRMC. The medical center remains committed to removing barriers to care and providing high quality, patient-centered services close to home, and leadership like Jungels is key to this mission.
