JAMESTOWN – Another loss put another hit on the postseason hopes for Jamestown Jimmies Women’s Soccer.

Augustana blanked Jamestown Sunday 3-0 at Rollie Greeno Field at Charlotte & Gordon Hansen Stadium on the Jimmies’ Senior Day and in their final regular season home match.

The Jimmies (4-7-4, 4-5-3 NSIC) are now winless in their last six matches and are four points behind a tie for seventh in the NSIC, the last two spots eligible for the NSIC Women’s Soccer Tournament.

Avery Heinz scored twice for Augustana (8-3-4, 6-3-3), first scoring in the 20th minute.  Heinz followed up with her sixth goal of the season in the 50th minute.

Madelyn White, who assisted on both goals by Heinz, scored herself in the 66th minute.

The Vikings had the run of play for most of the match, outshooting Jamestown 26-8 and 11-5 on net.

Jamestown’s last three regular season matches will be on the road, starting Friday at Bemidji State.
