JAMESTOWN – A dominant match continued a good streak for Jamestown Blue Jays Girls Soccer.
Amelia Newman scored twice and Briella Martin scored a goal and four assists Saturday as Jamestown won for the third straight time, 7-0 over Williston inside the University of Jamestown’s Nelson Family Bubble.
The Blue Jays (3-3-1, 3-2-1 WDA) moved into fourth place in the conference easily, starting the scoring on a first-minute goal by Gracelin Challeen, with Quinn Biloff assisting.
Biloff then made the JHS lead 2-0 in the seventh minute on the first helper by Martin.
In the 10th minute, Martin assisted again as Newman scored the first of her goals.
Martin, from Challeen, hit the back of the net in the 38th minute and Jamestown led 4-0 at halftime.
Just under five minutes into the second half, Newman again scored with a Martin setup.
Layla Becker scored in the 68th minute as Belle Sjostrom assisted.
Grace Allmaras closed the scoring in the 70th minute after the fourth assist by Martin.
Jamestown had 13 shots on target. Williston (1-5-0, 0-5-0) managed just two.
The Blue Jays will next play Friday against St. Mary’s in Bismarck.
