Jamestown Regional Airport Sets October and Year-to-Date Passenger Boarding Records

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Regional Airport continues its record-setting year, establishing new passenger boarding records for both the month of October and year-to-date through October 31, 2026.

The airport recorded 1,402 passenger boardings in October 2026, surpassing the previous October record of 1,215 set in 2021. This represents an increase of 187 passengers, or approximately 15.4%.

October’s strong performance also pushed the airport’s year-to-date passenger boardings to a record 11,094 through October 31, 2026. This surpasses the previous year-to-date record of 10,890 set in 2017, an increase of 204 passengers.

With two months remaining in the year, Jamestown Regional Airport is on track to establish a new annual passenger boarding record, with projections indicating the airport could exceed 13,000 passenger boardings in 2026.

“These numbers reflect the growing demand for air service in our region and the importance of maintaining reliable, convenient air transportation for our residents, businesses, and visitors,” said Airport Director Katie Hemmer. “We are encouraged by the continued growth and appreciate the passengers who choose to fly out of Jamestown. We also appreciate our airline, security, and airport personnel who strive every day to offer excellence in safety and customer
service.”

The continued growth in passenger traffic demonstrates the value of Jamestown Regional Airport as an important transportation asset and economic connection for the region.

Jamestown Regional Airport looks forward to finishing 2026 on a strong note and using the momentum to continue growth into the new year.
