I have sent many emails to Congressman Bob Latta (OH-5), urging him to oppose President Trump’s terrible actions. Until recently he has always responded at great length, and the pattern is always the same. His first sentence always indicates the general topic of my concern. Then comes a detailed, tedious exploration of the legislative history of that general topic. His final remark is always that he will keep in mind the viewpoint I expressed in my email. The glaring problem with this is that he never acknowledges exactly what my viewpoint is on anything!
Where is he getting these long, tedious historical reviews? Either his staff is putting forth super-human effort to do historical research on every topic I raise with him, or else they are getting beyond-human help. A Google search reveals that Congressional Offices have been using ChatGPT or similar AI tools since 2024. Could ChatGPT be constructing his detailed historical reviews?
