Candidates have begun lining up for governor of Wyoming, but not all of them belong to a political party.
Joseph Kibler of Cheyenne is taking the hard road. He is an independent running as a no-party, write-in candidate.
Much of his campaigning so far has been to reach out to the public through social media podcasts, though personal appearances are not out of the question.
Recently, he joined Wyoming’s radio talk host Glenn Woods for an on-air interview, which you can hear in the audio file below.
Joseph Kibler is a husband, father, Christ follower, and proud Wyomingite living near Cheyenne. He has a wife, Charity, and three kids.
He says that he is running for Governor because he believes that Wyoming doesn’t need more legislative band-aids — He wants to “tear it down to the studs and build something that lasts.”
Joseph spent nearly 20 years as a Paid Call Firefighter — 15 of those as a company officer — responding to thousands of emergencies, leading through chaos, and learning what it really means to put others first.

He’s worked as a facilities manager, an operations director, a chief operations officer, a CEO, a missions leader, and served — mowed more lawns and scrubbed more toilets than he can count and says he is better for it.
