TAUNTON, Mass. (WPRI) — Incumbent Shaunna O’Connell has won the election for mayor of Taunton, her campaign declared.
O’Connell defeated challenger Estele Borges, who conceded roughly an hour after the polls closed.
The race was a rematch, six years after O’Connell defeated Borges in the 2019 mayoral race to replace Thomas Hoye after he left office.
O’Connell will be sworn in for a two-year term in January.
