INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A shooting on Indianapolis’ near east side early Wednesday morning has left a teen girl injured, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
The call for a shooting came in the 1300 block of North Dearborn Street, just east of Rural Street, around 4:45 a.m.
IMPD said in a media release that the victim was “awake and breathing.” At the same time, a public information officer with IMPD informed News 8 at a separate scene that the victim is a juvenile female in critical condition.
It’s not clear what led up to the shooting or if there are any suspects.
