INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — At least one person died Monday afternoon following a crash on Indy’s far east side, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Online police records show officers were called to the area of North Cumberland Road and Grenadier Lane to investigate a crash with injuries. The call type on the run was eventually updated to an “accident fatal.”
IMPD confirmed the fatality, but did not say what led up to the crash or how many vehicles were involved.
The area of the crash is just north of Cumberland, south of East 21st Street. IMPD says a fatal crash team will be on the scene to investigate.
