A HOT & WINDY Memorial Day across parts of the state. Highs reaching the 90s under sunny skies. South winds will gust to near 30-35 mph across eastern, NE all day! Lighter winds farther west. Isolated T-storms will occur from 4pm-10pm SW->NE. The main area to watch will be near O’Neil & Norfolk. Hail & gusty winds will occur with these storms this evening.
High temperatures will be well ABOVE AVERAGE Monday afternoon! Much of the state reaching the 90’s. AVERAGE: 79 degrees.
4-5pm: Isolated storms will develop near Ainsworth, O’Neil->McCook . Hail & gusty winds will be the main concerns. Main area to watch will be from O’Neil & east.
6-8PM: Scattered isolated storms will move northeast. Quarter to half dollar size hail & strong winds will occur.
8-10pm: Storms weaken, meaning some strong outflow winds near 60+ mph could occur across northeast Nebraska.
Memorial Day looks PERFECT for any outdoor activities. Scattered rain chances enter the forecast Thursday and Friday. Temperatures look to stay in the 80s with periodic rain/storm chances entering June!
