Record heat returned to New Mexico with plenty of sunshine Saturday, and clear skies are expected tonight with a warm night for this time of year.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Record heat returned to New Mexico with plenty of sunshine Saturday, and clear skies are expected tonight with a warm night for this time of year.

Sunday will continue to be very hot across southern New Mexico with more record heat. Cooler weather is possible in northern New Mexico as a weak cold front moves south across the state.

Fire danger will increase in eastern New Mexico with breezy conditions. Fire weather watches are in effect in eastern New Mexico Sunday afternoon and evening.
