Home Bank is celebrating two milestones this year: its 118th anniversary and the 30th anniversary of its headquarters at 503 Kaliste Saloom Road in Lafayette.

The bank marked the occasion with a reception July 7.

Founded in 1908, Home Bank now operates 43 banking centers across south Louisiana, the greater Houston area and Natchez, Mississippi.

As part of the celebration, the bank launched a “118 Acts of Kindness” initiative. Guests received $30 “Kindness Cards” and were encouraged to use the money to perform an act of kindness for someone else.

“Celebrating 118 years of service and 30 years at Kaliste Saloom is a testament to the trust our customers place in us and the dedication of our employees, past and present,” CEO John Bordelon said in a statement.

President Darren Guidry said the initiative is intended to inspire acts of kindness throughout the community.
