Henderson and Las Vegas voters make picks in lower court races | Courts

Clark County voters had to make decisions in several down-ballot local court races.

In Las Vegas Municipal Court, voters had to choose between incumbent Judge Matt Walker and challenger Amanda Pellizzari in Department 1.

Pellizzari, an attorney, was leading Walker, a former prosecutor, with 55 percent of the votes early Wednesday.

Jessica Green, a pro tem judge, and Allycia Murphy, a deputy city attorney, competed for the judgeship in the Municipal Court’s Department 2, an open seat.

Green was ahead with 55.2 percent of the votes early Wednesday.

Henderson courts also had two contested judicial races.

Prosecutors Michael Allmon and John Cory competed for the newly created Department 4 seat in Henderson Justice Court.

As of early Wednesday, Allmon was ahead with 53.5 percent of the vote.

In Henderson Municipal Court’s Department 1, Judge Alicia Albritton tried to hold onto her seat against a challenge from lawyer Gary Thompson.

Albritton was leading with 60 percent of recorded votes early Wednesday.
