ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The sort-of heatwave we’re currently in the midst of in New Mexico will continue Monday with many places in the triple-digits.
Heat advisories are expected Monday in many of the counties in eastern New Mexico, including Roswell. Temperatures will be in the triple-digits, with 100 degrees expected in Albuquerque, 106 in Roswell and 104 in Tucumcari.
Tuesday will be almost a repeat of Monday but with a bigger chance of rain. Some places might get a few more showers and storms pop up and cool off temperatures. The chance is still pretty low.
Rain chances could improve later in the week, however.
