The Portland Hearts of Pine have announced the signing of Bowdoin College standout Tyler Huck, a midfielder from Ross, California, who was named the New England Small College Athletic Conference player of the year in 2025.
Huck was a three-time first-team NESCAC selection with the Polar Bears, producing 34 goals and 19 assists over his four-year career. He was asked to train with the Hearts of Pine as a practice player and worked his way into a professional contract.
“Tyler came in initially just to train,” said Hearts of Pine coach Bobby Murphy in a team news release. “Each day he continued to impress the staff and his teammates. He has good feet and good brains and he’ll be a great addition.”
After his senior season, Huck was named a third-team All-American by the United Soccer Coaches and a first-team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators.
