Halloween weekend forecast: lots of cloud cover with some rain possible

INDIANAPOLIS — Cloud cover and rain chances return to the region for the majority of the coming week.

FRIDAY NIGHT:

Increasing clouds. Lows from the middle 40s to lower 50s.

HALLOWEEN:

Mainly cloudy with highs generally in the 60s.  Temperatures should remain in the 60s for trick-or-treating in the evening. Some spotty rain is possible, but many of us will probably have a pretty quiet day overall.

SATURDAY NIGHT:

Cloudy skies with lows in the 50s.  A friendly reminder to set your clocks back 1 hour at 2 a.m. with the return of standard time.

SUNDAY:

Mainly cloudy with a chance of rain showers. Highs mainly in the 60s.  Lows in the 50s Sunday night.

MONDAY:

Mostly cloudy. Some spotty rain or showers can’t be ruled out. Highs should be mainly in the 60s.  Look for lows in the 50s Monday night.

ELECTION DAY:

Variably cloudy and mild with highs in the low 70s.  While some spotty showers or t-showers are possible, most spot look like they’ll remain dry.

WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY:

Cloudy skies with areas of rain & thunder are likely as a slow moving storm system moves through the region. The threat for strong or severe weather remains low, but we’ll continue to monitor the trends over the coming days. Highs will top out in the 60s with lows in the 50s.
