GLOCESTER, R.I. (WLNE) — The Glocester Police Department said a man was charged with driving under the influence after a crash on Oct. 25.
44-year-old Mark Ouellette was charged with driving under the influence – second offense, carrying of a weapon while under the influence of liquor or drugs, carrying a pistol or revolver without license or permit, and refusal to submit chemical test.
Officers responded to Snake Hill Road at Pray Hill Road for reports of a truck that had crashed into a utility pole.
Upon arrival, police alleged Ouellette “showed signs of intoxication.”
Police allegedly seized a large knife from the defendant’s possession, as well as a firearm inside the truck.
The defendant was arrested and charged.
Ouellette was arraigned and held without bail as a violator, according to police.
He is expected to appear in court in January.
