Getting the Hi Liner Alumni Band Back Together for the Parade | News Dakota

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City is celebrating an all 80’s reunion and the Class of 1976 is coming back for their 50th reunion this weekend.
The gathering of all classes from those years, along with former teachers and principals that guided all these students have been asked to join in the reunion celebrations.
And former Hi-Liners are getting the band back together to honor their revered and wonderful band leader Bob Bowen (who passed away in 2018) to bring back the band and the flag corps. Remember the Governors State Band in 1980 represented Valley City at the Fiesta Bowl, and in the 80s they also traveled to NDSU Homecoming parades as well as to Minnesota to represent our amazing state and city.
For more details about the band and flag corps contact Renae Martin and Beth Lewelyn, these two have done incredible work organizing this celebration for the Community Days Parade set for 10am Saturday, June 20th to march down Central Avenue in Valley City.
