INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A frosty start across much of northern Indiana. We are going to look for lots of sunshine for the afternoon and temperatures will be staying into the 60s. Another cool night expected with sunshine and warmer temperatures into the afternoon.

TODAY: Many locations across parts of northern Indiana have fallen into the 30s this morning. We will see temperatures into the low to mid 40s across parts of Central and southern Indiana. Look for lots of sunshine today which is a typical fall like day. Temperatures will climb into the mid and upper 60s. This is the first time that we have seen temperatures not reached 70 degrees since late May. 

TONIGHT: Another chilly night across much of the state. Temperatures will fall close to 40 degrees in the city, but outside of Indianapolis temperatures will fall into the 30s. Patchy Frost could be possible with mostly clear skies. If you do have any tender vegetation it is definitely a good idea to bring it inside or cover it up.

TOMORROW: After the chilly start, we will see lots of sunshine for the first part of the day. Partly cloudy skies later in the afternoon with high temperatures, climbing near 70. We will look for more clouds later in the afternoon and early evening. There is a very slight chance we could see an isolated shower or two popping up late Friday evening. But I do think most locations will be dry and no problems for Friday night football games.

7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: A beautiful weekend across parts of Central Indiana. Look for mostly sunny skies on Saturday with highs in the lower 70s. Great weather for Sunday as well. If you are heading to the Colts game, we are going to look for quiet conditions, sunshine and temperatures in the lower 70s. Early next week temperatures climb a little bit more into the low and middle 70s for Monday and Tuesday. Still looking for dry conditions as we head into the new work week.
