WHITEHALL, N.Y. (WCAX) – Folks in Whitehall, hoping to find Bigfoot.
The 10th annual Sasquatch Festival returned along the Champlain Canal for another year of fun.
Sasquatch hunters enjoyed looking at what over 150 vendors had to offer at tables, along with live music, food and a beer garden.
As well as taking time to listen to stories about sightings of the elusive beast.
“Staff-squatch” who run the event say the attraction is a big boost for the town.
“That was the main reason we wanted to have this kind of event is to bring people into Whitehall we do have a lot to offer, a lot of times we’re just a small little town we bring in as many people as there are residents here, and it’s great way to showcase our community,” Cheryl Putorti, Whitehall Chamber of Commerce president said.
The festival rounds out with a sasquatch calling contest, to try and bring Bigfoot out of hiding.
