EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE) — The East Greenwich Firefighters Association said firefighters battled a structure fire in East Greenwich on Oct. 26.
Officials said all East Greenwich firefighters were working on other emergencies when the fire department was notified of a structure fire.
Mutual aid was requested and Warwick firefighters responded within eight minutes, according to the East Greenwich Firefighters Association.
Warwick firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the bulk of the fire.
East Greenwich firefighters arrived shortly after and assisted with overhaul and searches, according to the association.
The North Kingstown Fire Department and Central Coventry Fire District provided station coverage for East Greenwich.
The fire is under investigation.
