INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana Fever selected Alabama guard Jessica Timmons with the No. 40 overall pick in the third round of the WNBA Draft.
Timmons joins No. 10 overall pick Raven Johnson and No. 25 overall pick Justine Pissott as the three Fever draft selections.
Timmons averaged 16.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game in her senior season with Alabama. The 5-9 guard shot 43 percent from the field and 39 percent from three in her senior season at Alabama.
The Charlotte, North Carolina native helped Alabama to a 24-11 record and a No. 6 seed in the NCAA tournament.
Timmons led the team in scoring at Alabama and connected on 74 three-pointers this past season.
