Felton man charged after traffic stop leads to suspected methamphetamine seizure

FELTON, Del. – A Felton man is facing drug and traffic charges after police said officers discovered suspected methamphetamine during a traffic stop Saturday evening.

According to the Felton Police Department, officers stopped a vehicle around 6:33 p.m. in the 100 block of Ludlow Lane for a traffic violation. During the investigation, officers determined the driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license.

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine in crystalline form, along with drug paraphernalia, inside the passenger compartment, police said.

The driver was identified as 36-year-old Anthony Vincent Moore of Felton. He was charged with possession or consumption of a controlled or counterfeit substance without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia not related to marijuana and multiple traffic-related offenses.

Moore was issued a criminal summons and released pending a future court date. Police noted that all suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
