Fall River Police arrest man on cocaine trafficking charges

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department said it arrested a man in connection with a crack cocaine investigation on Friday.

36-year-old Leon Shelby was charged with trafficking in cocaine.

Police said that that Shelby was detained outside his residence, and that he was being GPS monitored for an accessory after the fact to murder charge in connection with a 2023 Brockton shooting.

A search allegedly found multiple packages totaling to just over 92 grams of suspected cocaine and crack cocaine, multiple digital scales, packaging materials, a drug ledger, and more than $6,000 in cash.
