LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A new private school is making its way to Southern Nevada this fall, offering a fresh and inclusive take on traditional education. Embrace Academy is opening its first Las Vegas campus in the heart of Summerlin, bringing a learning model that puts the individual needs of students front and center.
Designed for all types of learners — from gifted and general education students to those with special needs — Embrace Academy is built around a philosophy of personalized instruction and social-emotional growth. The school’s small class sizes, featuring a 12:1 student-to-teacher ratio, allow for tailored academic plans and emotional learning support for each child.
The school is set to open in August near Summerlin Hospital at 10100 Banburry Cross Dr., sharing a campus with another private school, Zucker Academy.
“One of the main goals of Embrace Academy is to re-imagine and show society how schools should be run and how we should be educating our students,” 30-year educator Laura Bruni said.
The creation of Embrace Academy comes as demand continues to rise for educational options that go beyond the one-size-fits-all model. School officials say they saw a critical gap in services for neurodiverse students and those who thrive best in customized learning environments.
Annual tuition at Embrace Academy is set at $22,000, comparable to many other private schools in the Las Vegas area. School leaders emphasize the value lies in what families receive in return: specialized instruction, one-on-one support, and embedded emotional and behavioral services that typically come at an additional cost elsewhere.
The school’s curriculum is built on multisensory and differentiated instruction models, specifically designed to support neurodiverse learners, including students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and processing disorders. Embrace Academy is not limited to special education needs it also offers advanced academic challenges for gifted students and flexible, student-centered learning for those in general education.
“Every student will be assessed by our team. And with the parents, we will create a learning plan for that child. The child might come in at one level, and then the question is how we move them on to the next level,” Bruni said.
By integrating academic rigor with emotional intelligence and mental wellness, Embrace Academy aims to redefine what it means to receive a high-quality private education in Las Vegas.
