Edgecomb man sentenced for Virginia man’s murder

An Edgecomb man will spend 10 years in prison for killing a Virginia man and dumping his body on the midcoast.

A judge on Tuesday sentenced 27-year-old Luke Krott to 30 years with all but 10 years suspended for killing 34-year-old William “Nate” Robinson of Austinville, Virginia.

Robinson’s body was found in a trash barrel in Edgecomb in December 2024.

Police said he died of a gunshot wound and that evidence found in Turner connected Krott to the crime.

Police found and arrested Krott on a sailboat at a marina in San Diego in January 2025.

Once released, Krott will be on probation for four years.
