District 11 previews

After a day off to remember fallen heroes and celebrate Memorial Day, the District 11 tournament resumes Tuesday with lots of action, most notably three championship games — two in baseball at DeSales and one in softball at Parkland.

Here’s a look at those matchups:

District 11 3A championship

When/where: 4 p.m. Tuesday at DeSales University’s Butz Field at Weiland Park

Reph went 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs. Reph and Pengelly combined on a three-hitter.

Keith Groller’s pick: Palmerton 7-5 … Since Easter, the Blue Bombers have been as hot as any team in local baseball, but it won’t be easy against a resilient Notre Dame-Green Pond team that has had two amazing comebacks in this tournament.
