A deadly and fiery crash involving a food truck and another car shut down several lanes of the eastbound 10 Freeway in the Mid City area Thursday.
MID-CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A deadly and fiery crash involving a food truck and another car shut down several lanes of the eastbound 10 Freeway in the Mid City area Thursday morning.
The crash was reported around 2:17 a.m. at Crenshaw Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Details about what led up to the crash were unclear, but the food truck erupted in flames. A 40-year-old man died at the scene and a 32-year-old man was taken to the hospital in fair condition.
At one point, all eastbound lanes were shut down but by 4:30 a.m., the two left lanes were reopened. The rest of the freeway was expected to be closed for another two hours.
