Dawson Blaise Adams
GALIVANTS FERRY-A funeral service for Dawson Blaise Adams, 19, was held March 4 at The Rock with the Rev. Timmy Tyner officiating. Burial followed in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mr. Adams passed away Feb. 28.
Born in Myrtle Beach, he was a son of Jenell Grainger Adams and Robert Gene Coontz III. He was a member of The Rock in Conway and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Adams was employed with Southeastern Mechanical in Georgetown. He volunteered at the Palm Charter School in Conway.
Mr. Adams was predeceased by paternal grandfathers, Bobby Coontz and Chuck Goff; great- grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Frazier; and maternal great-grandfather, Jimmie Grainger.
Surviving are his mother, Jenell Grainger Adams (Kelly Hendrick) of Galivants Ferry; his father and stepmother, Robert Gene Coontz III (Mandy) of Rural Hall, N.C.; one brother, Sage Adams (Madison Young) of Raleigh, NC; one sister, Sara G. Adams (Brycen W. Cary) of Galivants Ferry; two half brothers, Hunter Coontz and Holden Coontz of Rural Hall, N.C.; three half sisters, Holly Coontz, Haylee Coontz and Hadley Coontz of Rural Hall, N.C.; maternal grandparents, John Adams and Diane Grainger Adams of Galivants Ferry; paternal grandparents, Robert and Rhonda Coontz of Hustonville, Ky., and Tonja Coontz of Somerset, Ky.; maternal great-grandmothers, Berlene Grainger of Conway, Paula Coontz of Hustonville, Ky., and Darlene Goff of Somerset, Ky.; uncles and aunts, John Adams Jr. and Ronaka Adams of Norfolk, Va., April and Hunter Gosnell of Stoneville, N.C., Taylor and Jonathan Brady of Dayton, Ohio; and cousins, Harper, Jeremiah and Camden of Stoneville, N.C.; Carter and Jaxon Brady of Dayton, Ohio; and his girlfriend, Raelynn Fitzgerald of Mt. Pleasant.
