Danny Wilson Long
LITTLE RIVER-A funeral service for Danny Wilson Long, 73, will be held March 13 at 2 p.m. in Buck Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Allen officiating. Committal services will follow in Buck Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Long passed away March 5 in McLeod Seacoast Hospital.
Born Dec. 18, 1952 in Loris, he was the son of the late Joel Wilson Long and the late Alberta Gause Boruta. Mr. Long worked as an assistant vice president for Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union until his retirement, and was a longtime member of Buck Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Barbara “JoJo” Long; son, Christopher Danny Long (Kelly Moore); daughter, Leslie Anette Long; brother, Dale Long (Gina); uncle, Troy Gause (Gloria); aunts, Faye Hancock and Alberta Long; half brother, Scottie Grainger (Melanie); sister-in-law, Kay F. Holmes, MD (James L. Jones, MD); and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Long was predeceased by his brothers, Randy Long and Bobby Long.
The family will receive friends on March 13, 12:30 p.m.-2 p.m., prior to services, at Buck Creek Baptist Church.
