JULY 2
The Wayne Hoey Big Band with special guest Wycliffe Gordon will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 2, at Maude Edenfield Park, 426 Brookside Ave., North Augusta. The performance will be a celebration of America’s 250th birthday and is part of the 2026 Music in the Park concert series. Attendees should bring a chair or blanket. Picnics are welcome.
JULY 3
A First Friday Wine Tasting will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, July 3, at The Grove Gourmet Market, 509 Georgia Ave., North Augusta. Attendees will sample three curated wines paired with three thoughtfully selected bites. Wines and bites sampled will be available at a special discount during the event for tasting participants. Tastings are purchased on arrival, so no reservation is needed. $10 per person. Must be 21 years or older to participate in the tastings.
A Line Dancing Class will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, June 5, at Riverview Park Activities Center, 100 Riverview Park Drive, North Augusta. The cost is $8.
JULY 4
A Fourth of July Celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 4, at Living History Park, 299 W. Spring Grove Ave., North Augusta. The event will include a reading from the Declaration of Independence by North Augusta Mayor Briton Williams, touring historic buildings throughout the park and visiting with reenactors as they bring history to life. There will be free hot dogs, watermelon, icy pops and water while supplies last. Visitors are encouraged to show their patriotic spirit by dressing up. Pets are welcome as long as they are well-behaved and on a leash.
A “Meet Us at the River” event for a Birthday Tribute Honoring America’s 250th event will be held from 5-10 p.m. Saturday, July 4, place along the riverfront between Fifth and Ninth Streets in Augusta. The event will feature live entertainment, vendors, food, crafts, kid zones and more. While event activities will be located on the Georgia side of the river, the fireworks can be viewed from both the Augusta, Georgia, and North Augusta, South Carolina, riverfronts. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs. Firework seating will be available between Fifth Street and Ninth Street on the Georgia side and at the Sharon Jones Amphitheater on the South Carolina side of the Savannah River.
The Houndslake Country Club will hold a July 4th Golf Cart Parade beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 4. The parade will loop through the Houndslake Neighborhood.
JULY 6
A History of Dungeons & Dragons event for teens will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, July 6, at the Nancy Carson Library, 135 Edgefield Road, North Augusta. Learn about how D&D started, try your hand at a Micro RPG, and possibly win your own RPG handbook. The event is for rising sixth-12th graders.
JULY 7
A program titled “Grave Matters: Caring for Historic Markers” will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, at the Nancy Carson Library, 135 Edgefield Road, North Augusta. Join Haley Milner, archaeological curator with the Savannah River Archaeology Research Program, to learn how to photograph, document and safely clean gravestones.
