A man was killed and a woman injured in a crash involving a car and two tractor-trailers on U.S. 79 in Fordyce on Wednesday, a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police says.
James Kidd, 72, of Camden was headed south at 2:30 p.m. when the Toyota Corolla he was driving was struck by a 2007 Peterbilt that was also heading south, the report says.
The Peterbilt had been trying to avoid a 2020 Freightliner headed west on Arkansas 273 that failed to yield, the report says. The Peterbilt struck the Freightliner after hitting the Corolla, the report says.
Terry Ware, 65, a passenger in the Toyota, was injured in the crash, the report says.
