Crash closes Rt 7 in Gallia County, traffic diverted

GALLIA COUNTY, Ohio (WOWK) – Traffic is being diverted around a crash on Route 7 in Gallia County.

According to Gallia County dispatchers, the crash happened around 10:20 a.m. Monday in the area of the Kyger Creek power plant and substation near Cheshire, Ohio.

Dispatchers say traffic is being diverted through Little Kyger Road and State Route 544 as emergency crews respond to the crash.

There is no word at this time on how many vehicles were involved or the extent of any injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is responding with assistance from the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office, Gallipolis Volunteer Fire Department and Gallia County EMS.
